There will be an indoor area to meet and chat with other astronomers at all times. We will also have some evening lectures available if the weather is not kind.
Thursday 6th March - Arrival Day, Pure Stargazing
Friday 7th March - Pure Stargazing
Saturday 8th March - Daytime: Trade Stands / Astrojumble / Raffle / Speakers
Saturday 8th March - Hours of Darkness: Stargazing
Sunday 9th March - Afternoon: Visit to The Needles New Battery (Ex-Rocket testing site) and talk by a Rocket-man (someone who used to work there).
(Price - £4 per adult, £2 per child). You will need to park (for free) at The Needles Park at Alum Bay, and walk for about 1 mile to the New Battery. We may be able to get restricted vehicular access - more details soon.
Sunday 9th March - Hours of Darkness: Stargazing
Monday 10th March - Pack Up and Head Home

Food:
A cooked breakfast will be available in the late morning. Cost £5.50.
(Veggie and children options available) .
The local takeaways, Merlins Indian Tandoori (also supplies chips, steak and chicken), a Chinese and a Pizza place will deliver to the site.
There is a camper's kitchen available, with a cooker (50p in the meter) and a fridge/freezer. Bring your own pots and pans etc.
Shops nearby:
The village of Brighstone is 1 mile away, and has a Post Office, MACE store, general store and newsagents. Opening times of these stores will be available at the Holiday Centre.
Other Shops:
In Freshwater there are a greater selection of shops, including a Co-op and a Somerfield. There is also a NatWest, Lloyds and a Barclays Bank with cash machines.
